5 Killed, 2 Hurt in 2 N.Va. Car Accidents
Five persons were killed and two were injured in two Northern Virginia car accidents yesterday, police said.
A Virginia State Police spokeswoman said Marzena Tobias, 19, and her mother-in-law, Jo Ann Tobias, 52, both of Cardinal Glen Circle in Sterling, were apparently killed instantly about 12:30 p.m. when their southbound Honda crossed the center line on Rte. 28 just north of the Dulles Toll Road in Loudoun County. Their vehicle slammed head-on into a cement truck and burst into flames, police said.
The driver of the truck, Lynval Anthony Allen of 6900 High View Ter. in Hyattsville, was reported in fair condition at Reston Hospital, officials said.
